The three-match ODI series between the hosts South Africa and Bangladesh will be played in Centurion and Johannesburg from March 18 to 23. Eight South African players, who are due to take part in the Indian Premier League 2022, starting from March 26, have been included in the ODI squad.

Bangladesh will tour South Africa for three ODIs and two Tests, starting from March 18 at SuperSport Park, Centurion. They have recalled Tamim Iqbal and Shakib al Hasan in the Test squad, while Fazle Mahmud and Mohammad Naim have been dropped from the squad for the longest format of the game.

Former Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan has commented that this is a good time for fast bowlers in India. The recent success of team India against different sides in foreign conditions can mostly be traced back to the performance of the bowlers which has significantly improved in overseas conditions.
