Sandeep Sejwal claims Gold at Singapore Swimming Championships
Indian Swimmer Sandeep Sejwal displaying a magnificent performance, claiming the gold medal in the men's 50m breaststroke event at the Singapore National Swimming Championships in Singapore on Saturday. Further, Virdhawal Khade grabbed a silver in the 50m freestyle event in the tournament.
Sandeep Sejwal has portrayed great efficiency and exuberance, while he went on to claim the gold medal in 50m breaststroke event at the Singapore National Swimming Championships in Singapore on Saturday.
He broke the Singapore meet record of 27:59 seconds to land himself a gold. He improvised his own record of 27.68 seconds and bettered it by 0.09 seconds in the semifinals.
Another player, Virdhawal Khade won a silver medal in the 50m freestyle event with a timing of 22.68 seconds. Aaron Agnel D'Souza was butted out in the semifinals. Khade, however, failed to make it to finals of the 50m butterfly event.
Sejwal also won silver in the men's 100m breaststroke in 1:02 seconds on Thursday. The viewers also witnessed Karnataka's Arvind Mani clinching the bronze in the men's 50m backstroke event. In the women's category, however, Aditi Dhumatkar and Divya Satija failed to qualify beyond the preliminary rounds.
