Lionel Messi and his family had a proud moment, as Messi's son, Thiago, made his football debut in the Argentina Youth Tournament. He played in the Newell’s Cup tournament for the Inter Miami team and holds the jersey number 10, the same as his dad, continuing the legacy.

Inter Miami went against Newell's Old Boys in the recent game, where unfortunately Thiago Messi's team lost by 1-0, in the under-13 tournament. This tournament is being played in Rosario, which has various links related to the initial stages of Lionel Messi's career, and this city is just 300 kilometres away from Buenos Aires.

The match being played in this tournament was attended by various members of the Messi family, such as Messi's wife, Antonella Roccuzzo along with the grandparents with some other family members. Unfortunately, Lionel Messi was not able to attend this game as he was busy with some other football competitions.

Thiago Messi was substituted in the second half of the game, and he played with Benjamin Suarez, who is the son of Luis Suarez, another friend of Lionel Messi. This further shows that Thiago is likely to continue his father's legacy in football globally and make his name in the near future.
