Neymar's injury in the recent game against Esteghlal of Iran, makes him out of action for Al-Hilal for the next two weeks. Reports say that Neymar might not be retained by the team when his contract expires in June 2025.
It has been reported that Neymar Jr will be missing out another two weeks due to the injury he got in the recent game. This has also made some speculations about the Brazilian’s future in the Al-Hilal club.
This was Neymar's second appearance for the team, as he was on a layoff for a 12 months period of injury. In the previous match against Esteghlal of Iran, where Al-Hilal won 3-0, he made his appearance in the game as a substitute. However, towards the last three minutes of the game, he suffered an injury while stretching for the ball.
This resulted in Neymar being replaced at the end of this match at the AFC Champions League Elite. Jorge Jesus, the coach of Al-Hilal, said,“Unfortunately, it is not a simple injury and he seems to be suffering from muscle pain and it is not a knee issue. He is expected to be out for two weeks.”
Later, Neymar Jr took to his social media to inform fans about his latest injury. He said,“Hopefully nothing too much… It's normal that after one year (out) this happens, the doctors had already warned me, so I have to be careful and play more minutes.”
