Real Madrid will be going against AC Milan in a home match on Wednesday, which is going to be a crucial match for both teams in the UEFA Champions League. Before the match, the team's head coach Carlo Ancelotti has said that football should take a back seat and talked about the Valencia flood tragedy, which has taken 217 lives till now.

Talking about the incident in an interview, Ancelotti said,“Good morning. It’s been a week of tragedy and we have sadness. This is the emotion. We are very close to Valencia and all the people affected. We are close to them and hopefully it can be resolved soon. I want you to understand that talking about football is complicated. So is playing football. We are part of this country and this affects a lot.”

He expressed his concern about the tragedy in the pre-match conference, saying,“Out of respect for everyone, I will try to keep the press conference as simple as possible, because I don’t feel like talking about football. Also, for me, it’s a special match tomorrow. I will try to talk as little as possible.”

It was also announced by the Royal Spanish Football Federation, that the match between Valencia and Real Madrid, which was scheduled to take place on Saturday, has been postponed. During the recent Ballon d’Or ceremony, Carlo Ancelotti was announced as the head coach of the year 2024.
