Reports | Juventus and AC Milan considering move for Real Madrid’s Isco Alarcon
According to Calciomercato, Isco Alarcon has attracted attention, with the Spaniard reportedly on both Juventus and AC Milan’s radar ahead of a potential free-transfer. The 29-year-old has less than a year left on his current deal, and will be free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement from January.
After his impressive start for Real Madrid, few expected Isco Alarcon not to continue in the same vein of form, with the midfielder contributing to 91 goals in his first five seasons. However, things changed drastically in the 2018/19 season for the Spaniard, and since then, nothing has been the same with Isco dropping well off the pecking order. Instead, the 29-year-old has often struggled for both fitness and game-time with his time at Real Madrid all but over.
However, with just one year left on his current contract, it has many fans shocked that the Los Blancos didn’t opt to sell him this summer but reports indicated that nobody met a price-tag that would have seen Isco leave. But, Calciomercato has revealed that the Spaniard could leave in January, which is when he is free to negotiate a pre-contract deal with clubs outside Spain. The midfielder has both Juventus and AC Milan keen on a move but neither club have begun talks with the 29-year-old as of yet.
That could change as the January window approaches but Calciomercato has further reported that both Serie A clubs are looking at a free-transfer and don’t want to pay a transfer fee. But their move could be made complicated by the fact that Isco has started the season well under returning boss Carlo Ancelotti with two starts in three league games so far. But with Milan losing Hakan Calhanoglu this summer, the Rossoneri are looking at potential replacements and believe Isco is their man.
