Indian Arrows players defend AIFF, rubbishes allegations of non-payment of salaries
Indian Arrows have come to the defence of the All India Football Federation claiming that the allegations of the federation not being able to pay their salaries are wrong and they have got their due. With the federation facing cash crunch, Minerva Punjab owner Ranjit Bajaj had tweeted about it.
AIFF has been going through a real storm at the moment. With their marketing partner IMG-Reliance delaying their first instalment owing to taxation issues, AIFF could give Chennai City FC their I-League championship winning money only after two months with runners-up East Bengal and third-placed Real Kashmir still waiting for theirs.
Another default was the developmental squad Indian Arrows, who were alleged to have not got their salaries for six months. Ranjit Bajaj, owner of I-League club Minerva Punjab that has threatened to move to court against AIFF, had earlier tweeted about the same.

However, as many as four members of the Indian Arrows squad, Boris Thangjam, goalkeeper Prabhsukhan Gill, Rahul KP, and Lalengmawia, have come forward to deny the claims stating they have been got their salaries.
Apart from this, the players also sounded thankful for the Arrows project expressing their gratitude for them getting an opportunity at the highest level. They also asked the supporters not to believe in rumours.
After performing consistently under head coach Floyd Pinto during the 2018-19 I-League season, all the four players have been roped in by ISL clubs. While Gill has gone to Bengaluru FC, Rahul, Lalengmawia, and Boris have signed for Kerala Blasters, NorthEast United and ATK respectively.
