Reports | Pep Guardiola considering moves for Isco Alarcon and Nathan Ake
Pep Guardiola has been closely following the situation of Real Madrid midfielder Isco Alarcon especially after the Los Blancos spent a lot of money this summer. Reports have indicated that the Los Blancos are willing to offload a few stars and Isco is on that list of outgoing stars.
The Express have suggested that while Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is interested in Isco, he is no hurry to sign the 27-year-old. The Premier League champions have been linked in the past with a move for the Spaniard but nothing has happened so far.
Manchester City themselves haven't been too active having only brought in three new additions so far, as it has been a relatively quiet window. The Cityzens were also interested in Harry Maguire, but did not pursue him because of Leicester’s valuation of the England international. Instead, the club has found an alternative in the form of Bournemouth star Nathan Ake further reports the Express.
City have shortlisted the former Chelsea player and have set their sights on the 24-year-old after more than a few impressive performances. The Dutchman's £40million valuation is nothing for a club of City’s financial stature, with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp pointing that out recently.
Guardiola and Klopp have been recently engaged in a spat about transfers, with the German signalling that City are free to spend whatever amount they want every year, which is not possible for other clubs. The Manchester City manager hit back by saying “It bothers me because it’s not true that we spent £200m every window.”
