Shillong Lajong FC took on Aizawl FC in the North-eastern derby to open their I-League campaign this year at the JN Stadium in Shillong on Sunday. The home team were determined to make a positive start to their campaign and got off to a flyer as they bagged the opening goal of the match in the 20th minute courtesy of a Naorem Singh effort which was set up by midfielder - Novin Gurung.
