Premier League | Liverpool, Arsenal share spoils after game ends with 3-3 stalemate
Roberto Firmino's sublime finish helped Liverpool secure a draw in an incredible Premier League encounter that had seen Arsenal score as many as three goals in just five second-half minutes. The point meant Liverpool held onto fourth place, with Arsenal remaining fifth - a point behind the Reds.
Philippe Coutinho had put Liverpool in front in the 26th minute of the game as the Brazil international beat Petr Cech with a deft header after Mohamed Salah's cross looped up off Laurent Koscielny. But while Jurgen Klopp's side dominated the first half, they also failed to make many chances count.
But the Reds started the second half with a dominating fashion and doubled their advantage shortly after the restart with Salah's shot deflecting in after Firmino led a superb counter-attack. However, Arsenal were not a team to be bogged down by this as they counter-attacked in front and managed to score three goals inside five remarkable minutes.
