ISL 2016: NorthEast United rope in Subrata Paul and four others
ISL side NorthEast United FC has added five new players to their roster, including Indian goalkeeper Subrata Paul for the third edition of the tournament. Apart from Paul, the franchise have also signed Nirmal Chettri, Rowllin Borges, Shouvik Ghosh and Sumit Passi for ISL 2016.
After securing the services of Brazilian coach Sergio Farias, the club owned by Bollywood actor John Abraham is quickly becoming one of the sides to watch out for in the next edition of the ISL by roping in some of the country’s finest footballers. Indian national team goalkeeper Subrata Paul, who played for Mumbai City FC in the last edition of the tournament, will don the gloves for the Guwahati side in the upcoming edition of the ISL.
Apart from the 29-year old goalkeeper, NorthEast United also confirmed the signings of Indian national team midfielder Rowllin Borges, defenders Nirmal Chettri, Shouvik Ghosh and striker Sumit Passi. The franchise had earlier signed upcoming youngsters Lallianzuala Chhangte and Jerry Mawihmingthanga.
