Lord’s to host World Test Championship Final for the first time
The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the venue for the ensuing 2023-25 World Test Championship main event. With the previous two finals taking place in Southampton and Surrey, this will be the first time that the ‘Mecca of Cricket’ will play host to the bonanza event.
“The ICC World Test Championship Final has quickly become one of the most anticipated events in the cricketing calendar and we are pleased to announce the dates for the 2025 edition," ICC CEO Geoff Allardice expressed.
Currently, India is sitting at the pole of the ongoing cycle with 68.52 percentage points after six wins from nine games. Australia is second in the table with 62.50 percentage points. New Zealand, Bangladesh, and England are next in the charts with 50, 45.83, and 45 percentage points respectively.
"It's a testament to the enduring appeal of Test cricket, which continues to captivate fans around the world. Tickets will be in high demand so I would encourage fans to register their interest now to ensure they are in with a chance of attending the Ultimate Test next year,” Allardice added.
