Pakistan beat Zimbabwe by ten wickets and 31.2 overs in hand. Abrar Ahmed's four-for and Salman Ali Agha's three-fer reduced the hosts to 145 in 32.3 overs before Saim Ayub's scintillating century helped the Men in Green equalise the series tally 1-1 at the Queen's Sports Club, Bulawayo.

Reeling behind in the ODI series after a loss in the first ODI, luck didn’t favour Pakistan in the first innings. However, their bowlers made the ball talk as Joylord Gumbie and Marumani fell cheaply at the start. Despite Dion Myers efforts, the middle order stumbled, losing wickets in regular periods. Myers’ 33 and Sean Williams’ 31 helped them reach near the hundred runs mark before the spinners wreaked havoc to fold the Chevrons for 145/10, highlighted by Abrar Ahmed’s four-for and Agha Salman’s three-fer.

In response, Abdullah Shafique and Saim Ayub looked observative at the start before the dynamic left-handed opener switched gears to extract quick runs. While Shafique played the anchorer’s role, Ayub quickly raced to his fifty in the tenth over with the score reading 71/0. Subsequently, Ayub took on the spinners and the chase seemed cakewalk with the hosts failing to make any inroads. Eventually, the southpaw bashed a century and propelled the Men in Green past the finishing line with 31/4 overs in hand.
