ENG vs SL | Twitter in disbelief as Prabath produces xerox copy of Brook jaffa to sound Woakes' death rattle
Once is coincidence, twice is a pattern. Prabath Jayasuriya left no doubts that his stunning dismissal of Harry Brook, which Kumar Sangakkara described as the finger spinner's version of the ball of the century, was skill rather than luck by dismissing Chris Woakes in the exact same fashion.
England took a first innings lead on the final session of Day 2 in Manchester by going past Sri Lanka's total of 236 with five wickets still in hand. However, the hosts' dream-like position did not last long as their last proper batter Chris Woakes was sent back to the pavillion soon after to end a 52-run partnership with Jamie Smith. While the crowd watching would have hoped for events to culminate differently, they found little to complain about the wicket given the brilliant manner in which it was manufactured by spin-bowling genius Prabath Jayasuriya.
The prolific left-arm spinner had already opened his account a little after Tea with an unplayable ripper to claim the wicket of well-set Harry Brook for 56 that led to some audacious claims in the commentary box. Yet, almost unfathomably, Prabath managed to reproduce the exact same delivery to Woakes in the 58th over to double his tally in the Test match. Jogging in from around the wicket, Prabath dipped a good length ball on middle and leg, thus pushing Woakes onto the back foot before turning the ball sharply away from the bat and into the top of off stump. While Brook had stood his ground for a few seconds in shock after the dismissal, Woakes appeared even more surprised as he raises his brows and widened his eyes in disbelief before reluctantly walking back to where he came from.
Twitter was absolutely ecstatic by the wondrous level of bowling on show from Prabath and quickly took to social media to express their gratitude.
Once again

Reliable all rounder
Chris Woakes is my favorite player. He usually plays excellent cricket and is a reliable all-rounder for England.#ViratKohli #PAKvsBAN #PakistanCricket #ENGvSL #PAKvBAN

Good plan or what
England's decision to play five specialist batsmen; a keeper & Chris Woakes at 7 against Sri Lanka could be coming under pressure soon. Good a player as Woakes is he isn't Ben Stokes. Would feel more comfortable if Woakes was batting at 8. #ENGSRI #testmatch
