Twitter reacts to Mohammad Rizwan’s ‘Butterfingers’ moment saving Zak Crawley
After just 11 overs of action on Day 4, the game was destined to end in a draw before a ray of sunshine forced play on the last day as Pakistan tried to bowl out England. During their attempt, Yasir Shah nearly succeeded before Mohammad Rizwan’s butterfingers prevented a simple chance.
On day five, there was nothing on offer for both the sides as the game was edging towards a draw, thanks to the cruel English weather. However, a ray of sunshine on the last day of the second Test at the Ageas Bowl forced play and gave Pakistan a chance to heist a result out of nowhere. While they were immediately on target with their pacer’s line and length in the first hour of resumed play, they were not successful as the English duo of Zak Crawley and Dominic Sibley played out with no harm.
Things took a turn when Pakistan skipper Azhar Ali brought on his X-factor, Yasir Shah who wanted to leave a telling impact on the proceedings. In the 25th over of England’s innings, the leg-spinner prompted an edge from the English No.3 Crawley as the ball evaded the slip fielder, Asad Shafiq at first slip. Whilst his first attempt was not that successful, the leggie bowled another ripper that turned away from the Bromley batsman.
This time around, Crawley misread the line and stepped down to hit the ball straight down the ground before a slight turn took the ball away from the right-hander. Mohammad Rizwan, who was eagerly waiting for an opportunity behind the stumps, massively fumbled and let the ball rollback, with a chance gone. It is only fitting that we saw something as bizarre as this from the wicketkeeper in a Butterfinger moment in the year 2020.
Buttler be like: Hold my beer bro.. ;)

Rizwan missed stumping. Last week many were saying he was the best keeper in the world. It happens. A harder changer than the one Buttler missed.
