Twitter reacts as Rory Burns and Joe Denly put together the first 50-plus opening stand of the series
After 19 innings, Rory Burns and Joe Burns finally brought up the first fifty-run opening stand of the series on Saturday, which in turn helped England to stretch their lead. While Burns fell short of his fifty, Denly agonizingly fell short of his 100 on Day 3. The Twitterati reacted on the same.

First ever 50+ opening stand in this Ashes from both the teams, getting runs from New balls seems to be problem for openers. #Ashes2019
Finally a decent start for England (or any team, for that matter)

That was the first 50 partnership in a Test for an England opening pair since the first Test against the West Indies at the Kensington Oval in January. Maybe they only do it at Oval venues?? #Ashes
