MCA not happy with lack of applicants for position of coach
MCA's Cricket Improvement Committee (CIC) was not happy with the lack of applicants for the position of coach and have decided to extend the date of application by 3 days. Karsan Ghavri revealed MCA has appointed a professional management company to look for a trainer and physio for the senior team.
The Mumbai Cricket Association’s (MCA) CIC has extended the date of applying for the post of coach of Mumbai's senior by three days. CIC, who attended the meeting for the first time, was unhappy with the cold response that their proposal has received. So far, only six applicants have applied for the post.

Ghavri further stated that a professional company has been hired by the MCA to look for trainer and physio. Those who have applied for the post of coach include Ramesh Powar, Ajay Ratra, Vinayak Samant, Pritam Gandhe, Vinod Raghavan and Nanadan Phadnis.
“The MCA has hired a professional management company to look for a trainer and physio for the senior team. It is under consideration. We are one month behind schedule and that’s why we are hurrying up to make the structure ready to have regular camps across all levels. The senior team will soon go out for the KSCA and Buchi Babu tournaments. Things are falling in place, and soon, they’ll regularize,” he said.
Besides Ghavri, the CIC now includes former India seamers Balwinder Singh Sandhu, Raju Kulkarni, Mumbai stalwart Amol Muzumdar and ex-Mumbai opener Sahil Kukreja and former off-spinner Kiran Mokashi.
