Footballers like Pierre Aubameyang and Paulo Dybala have made the mask celebration a rage in the sport so much so, that fans wait with bated breath for them to score and put it on. On Sunday, South Africa's Tabraiz Shamsi imported it to cricket bringing out a mask from nowhere to celebrate a wicket.

Cricket, being a gentleman's game, has hardly been acquainted with the over-exaggerated celebrations by its players, something that major sports like football, basketball, or football leagues have always had. However, of late though, with the evolution of the sport and especially the blossoming of T20 cricket, where emotions and adrenaline always run high, modern cricket has been seeing unique celebrations by Gen Y players all around the world.

The latest to get into the club was Proteas spinner Tabraiz Shamsi after he dismissed Albie Morkel in one of the games of Mzansi Super League between Paarl Rocks and Durban Heat. It was the 16th over of the first half of the game and Albie was on strike against Paarl's Shamsi in his final over of the quota. The Durban side was already four down with only 105 runs on the board.

Albie tried playing a reverse-sweep against Shamsi and toe-ended it to the keeper. Managliso Mosehle ran backwards to grab the ball which saw Albie walking back into the pavilion for only for eight runs. Shamsi was so delighted with the wicket that he started running as soon as the keeper took the catch. The spinner then pulled out a mask up to his face that covered till over his nose. This unique celebration would have made another South African spinner  Imran Tahir happy as well who is also known for his sprinting along the ground to celebrate after picking a wicket.
