England pacer Stuart Broad has picked up an all-time XI consisting of 4 Australian players and 3 England players while Sachin Tendulkar was the only Indian cricketer to be named in the side. Broad also picked former Kiwi pacer Sir Richard Hadlee and Matt Prior as the wicket-keeper for his team.

For his best all-time XI, pacer Stuart Broad has gone with a lineup which features some of the best Test players in the history. To open his innings, Broad went with one of Australia's finest openers Matthew Hayden and England's current skipper Alastair Cook. Broad also named Cook as the captain of his side despite the left-hander currently facing slack after the series defeat to India.

For the vital No.3 position, Broad picked up Australian legend Ricky Ponting for the level of competition he has brought to the pitch. For the No.4 spot, Broad went with Sachin Tendulkar. The 30-year old then chose Brian Lara for the No.5 spot saying that he was fortunate enough to play in the West Indies great's final ODI match in 2007.

South Africa's Jacques Kallis was named by Broad for the next position, terming Kallis as one of the greatest all-rounders of all-time. For the wicket-keeper choice, Broad went with a surprise choice of Matt Prior despite having multiple options in the form of Mark Boucher, Adam Gilchrist, Jeff Dujon to name a few. Broad cited Prior's batting aggression that helped England regain Ashes glory as the prime reason for his selection.

As the first pacer in his XI, Broad picked New Zealand great Sir Richard Hadlee for his record of 431 Test wickets and also mentioned the praise he heard from his dad Chris Broad about the Kiwi pacer. Next, Broad named Shane Warne as his team's premier spinner naming him as the greatest leg-spinner of all time. Broad then went for the choice of Glenn McGrath to lead the pace attack after explaining how he grew up watching the Aussie legend. He completed the line-up with England's leading wicket-taker in Tests--James Anderson, for playing the role of a mentor in early stages of his career.
