Vikas Krishnan, Neeraj Goyat register easy victories on pro-circuit
Indian boxers Vikas Krishnan and Neeraj Goyat have won their respective bouts on the professional circuit. Krishnan remained unbeaten on the circuit by winning his bout against Noah Kidd while Goyat also managed to win against Carlos Lopez Marmolejo in another bout in professional boxing.
Krishnan continued his good run in professional boxing as India’s former Commonwealth Games and Asian Games gold-winner won his bout in a unanimous verdict. Krishnan registered the comfortable win against American boxer Kidd in the super welterweight category. The six-round pro bout was fought at the famous Madison Square Garden in New York.
In another six-round bout at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto, Goyat, who holds the title in the welterweight category in WBC Asia, also won his bout quite comfortably. Goyat defeated Mexico’s Carlos Lopez Marmolejo through a unanimous decision as well. Goyat has been around for a while on the pro circuit and has a good experience of 16 fights. The Indian has won 11 out of those 16 and has lost only on three occasions.
Krishnan, on the other hand, is new on the pro circuit and has already made a dream entry into professional boxing. He had won in the second round through Technical Knock Out in his bout against Steven Andrade of the United States in January this year. The 27-year-old boxer from Haryana is now training in Newark, New Jersey under veteran coach Wali Moses.
