Parupalli Kashyap provided with temporary documents after losing passport in Amsterdam
Parupalli Kashyap called for help via social media after losing his passport in Amsterdam and was promptly provided with temporary travel papers by the Indian Consulate in the Netherlands. He was travelling to participate in the upcoming Denmark Open which will take place from October 16-21.
In coming few days, Parupalli Kashyap will participate in many top tournaments like Denmark Open, French Open and Saarloux Open. But en route his destination he lost his passport in the Netherlands, while participating in the Dutch Open, and asked for help from India’s External affairs ministry, sports ministry and Prime Minister’s office.

In a prompt reply, India’s sports minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore came to the ailing player’s rescue and he was provided with temporary travel papers.

Kashyap acknowledged the help provided by the assistance provided by Indian Consulate in Amsterdam.
“I’ve received the temporary documents as of now,” Kashyap wrote.
