Bopanna and Mergea crash out of BNP Paribas Open
The fifth-seeded pair of Rohan Bopanna and Florin Mergea crashed out of the 2016 BNP Paribas Open on Saturday after suffering a defeat at the hands of Marc Lopez and Feliciano Lopez. The Indo-Romanian pair went down 6-2, 4-6, 4-10 to the Spain duo in an encounter, which lasted more than an hour.

In the decider, the Indo-Romanian duo continued their romance with double faults and committed two to gift the advantage to their rivals. Marc Lopez and Feliciano Lopez took the chance with both hands and romped home to register an upset victory by claiming the decider 10-4 to move into the second round.
